I went to a thrift store nearby my home. The staff were nice and the products were convenient, retro, nostalgic and cheap. There were books, furniture, toys and, of coarse, tapes. I love collecting cassette tapes and VHS tapes. My collection has 300 tapes, 214 VHS and 86 cassettes. My coolest find was the soundtrack of Footloose that has Kenny Loggins' autograph.

Then, while looking around the VHS aisle, I found a very unusual tape. It was completely black VHS tape with no label. The word "PINGU" was written with silver Sharpie. There was no price tag on it as well. I was curious on this tape, since I loved watching Pingu when I was little. So, I went to a employee to ask for the price.

"Excuse me, but how much is this VHS tape?"

The employee was at a loss for words, and gave me a dumbfounded look. After a few minutes of thinking, he said to me, "You can have it for free."

Free? That's a price tag I've never heard in this store. So, I thanked him and went back home. As time goes by, I am curious of what is in that tape.

When I got home, I was about to put the tape in the player when I notice a piece of paper taped on the back of the tape. I didn't noticed it till now. I opened the piece of paper, and it was a letter.

"DO NOT WATCH THIS TAPE. THIS TAPE IS HAUNTED BY THE SPIRIT OF OTMAR GUTTMAN. WATCH THIS AND YOU'RE SCARRED FOR LIFE"

What a weird letter. What does it mean? Could this be a prank?

I ignored it and believed it was a joke, and I slot the tape in the player.
